ASTM C1747/C1747M − 13 Standard Test Method for Determining Potential Resistance to Degradation of Pervious Concrete by Impact and Abrasion
ASTM C1747/C1747M − 13 Standard Test Method for Determining Potential Resistance to Degradation of Pervious Concrete by Impact and Abrasion
Scope
1.1 This test method covers determining the potential resistance to degradation of pervious concrete by measuring the mass loss of specimens subjected to combined action of impact and abrasion in a rotating steel drum.
1.2 Units—The values stated in either SI units or inch pound units are to be regarded separately as standard.
The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.
Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the standard.
1.3 The text of this test method references notes and footnotes that provide explanatory information.
These notes and footnotes (excluding those in tables) shall not be considered as requirements of this test method.

Significance and Use
5.1 This test method provides a procedure for evaluating the potential resistance to degradation by impact and abrasion of pervious concrete mixtures. A common failure mode of pervious concrete pavements is raveling.
